Walk Westridge is a NEW private walk, which will be OPENING Labour weekend 19-22nd October 2007. This is an exciting time for us. Walk Westridge incorporates 2 or 2 1/2 day walks, the marked tracks take you through farmland, mature native bush, and old tramways and to a very special feature - our 1800 year old Grandad totara tree. All walks start and end at the cottage where you can safely leave your vehicle, you will only require a daypack.

Our aim is to introduce walkers to our part of the Central North Island and share with them our special place.

Walk Westridge is situated in the well-known farming area of Ongarue, in the upper reaches of the Mangakahu Valley.

The farm consists of easy contoured grassland and native bush some of which borders the huge and splendid Pureora Forest Park. Our nearest township is Taumarunui (26km).
